SHARECAT WINS FOUR OIL & GAS SUPPLY CHAIN I.T. CONTRACTS TOTALLING $10M
SHAREcat’s project information management solution to support North Sea and Mediterranean projects for two of the Majors
Sharecat Solutions has been awarded four contracts totalling $10M by two of the energy industry ‘Majors’, the company announced today. Sharecat - which tripled its year-on-year order intake in 2010 - will support three offshore oil and gas projects in the UK sector of the North Sea and one in the Mediterranean area, using its ‘project information capture’ software and services to improve the quality and ensure the earlier visibility of project information for all parties in a more collaborative, better-coordinated supply chain.
Sharecat’s solutions has been implemented to date by over 30 oil and gas owner-operators and engineering contractors, worldwide. Developed in cooperation with industry users, it speeds time to first oil and gas by increasing the quality and accuracy of the supply chain information handed over to plant operations.
“There is a strong energy industry appetite for solutions that improve the efficiency as well as driving down the cost of any oil and gas supply chain” says Sharecat Solutions managing director Dag Pettersen, who has recently increased company staff levels by 20% to service growth in market demand for Sharecat’s software and services.
