SHARECAT WINS FOUR OIL & GAS SUPPLY CHAIN I.T. CONTRACTS TOTALLING $10M

SHAREcat’s project information management solution to support North Sea and Mediterranean projects for two of the Majors

Sharecat Solutions has been awarded four contracts totalling $10M by two of the energy industry ‘Majors’, the company announced today. Sharecat - which tripled its year-on-year order intake in 2010 - will support three offshore oil and gas projects in the UK sector of the North Sea and one in the Mediterranean area, using its ‘project information capture’ software and services to improve the quality and ensure the earlier visibility of project information for all parties in a more collaborative, better-coordinated supply chain.   

Sharecat’s solutions has been implemented to date by over 30 oil and gas owner-operators and engineering contractors, worldwide. Developed in cooperation with industry users, it speeds time to first oil and gas by increasing the quality and accuracy of the supply chain information handed over to plant operations.

The Skarv FPSO has commenced the voyage from South Korea to Norway. The last mooring line was released early this morning. This is exactly in line with the Project Master Schedule.

 SHAREcat is being used to gather and validate technical information attached to the supply chain in the project and will connect operator and contractors together in a common project portal. Communication and interface efficiencies are achieved through a common view of data and documents using simple workflows which reflect industry processes.
